Lets talk about training and what we have to offer…

Are you not exactly sure on how to train a puppy? That’s perfectly okay, we will do the hard part for you. We offer multiple different options for training, ranging from basic obedience all the way up to in depth house training. Below we have all of our different options and what they entail…

Puppy Kindergarten- 1 Month

This option is great for those that just need a little help getting puppy off to a good start. It is crate and leash training with an introduction to basic manners. This gives puppy more time to adjust to the crate and since he will be older he will be naturally able to hold it in the crate longer. He/She will receive the 9 and 12 week vaccinations and a couple of extra de-worming’s. A Kindergarten level puppy will be $4,000.

Puppy Grammar School- 2 Months

This training option is approximately 2 months in duration and incorporates a few simple commands and introduction to the tell bell on the door. Puppy will learn sit and down commands using verbal, hand gestures, and treats. Puppy is also taught the recall command (here Cooper), and manners are worked on such as no bite, no jump, off, ect. This puppy will be no younger than 12 weeks old and could be as old as 20 weeks, depending on when he/she gets started. A Grammar school puppy is $6,000.

Puppy High School

Puppy High School is approximately 3 months of training. At this level we are beginning the process of house training and furthering the obedience training listed in our above training levels. This option will allow puppy to spend time in the house away from the other puppies, get used to going in/out the door, touching the tell-bell before going outside to potty, and given lots of positive reinforcement when they use the bathroom outside. After puppy has gone potty outside we will teach puppy to walk on the leash with manners (no pulling, walking at our side, not tripping us). We will also practice some simple commands and learn how to meet strangers and other dogs with manners while on the leash. A puppy at this level will have been introduced to car rides and taken to unfamiliar, public places. He/She will be used to baths, blow drying, ear cleaning, nail trimming, ect. After completion of this program puppy will be well on his/her way to being house trained, and with supervision and consistency puppy should have very few accidents. When puppy comes home to you we will send a summary of all the training we have done so you will know what to do to continue making the progress we have started. We are always available for questions you may have as your’re transitioning puppy into your home and continuing his/her training. A High School level puppy will be $8,500 total.

Associate Degree

The Associate level puppy will be an older puppy who is well on his/her way to being house trained. Everything at this level is what has already been listed above but will have been implemented for a longer period of time and will be even more in-depth. This puppy will be 5-7 months of age and will have lived exclusively in the trainer's home for at least 1 month. He/she will be spayed/neutered, groomed, taken for car rides, and taken on trips to meet strangers in new environments on a regular basis. This puppy will be ready to be a great family member with very little work on your part. There is still a transition period and we will instruct you on how best to handle the first few weeks. An Associate level puppy adoption fee will be $11,500 total.

Bachelor’s Degree

A Bachelors level puppy will be ready for its CGC (Canine Good Citizens) certification, and/or be ready to go into a therapy program. This young adult will be 7-9 months of age, spayed/neutered, and have all of the above training even more in depth and be even more house trained. A puppy at this level will have had all of his/her required vaccinations and all the age appropriate de-wormings, have had its rabies vaccine, and be used to vet visits.  A Bachelor's degree puppy will be $15,000 regardless of breed.

Masters Degree

The Masters level is our highest level of training. A dog at this level will be a young adult, approximately 12-18 months of age. He/she will have had all of the Bachelor level training plus an extra month or two really working on learned skills and socialization.  This level will make it very easy to complete the house training process once He/she reaches your home. He/she will be very familiar with the routine of using the tell-bell to signal their need to go potty, and will be used to using the bathroom on and off leash (only in a fenced-in yard) in a grassy area. We will have done a lot of in depth socialization and gotten puppy used to adults, children, other animals, car rides, vet visits, baths, grooming, and so much more. This dog will have been exposed to multiple different unfamiliar public situations such as dog parks, walking on the leash by road-ways, and have been in busy stores. A Masters level young adult will be $21,000 which includes the ground transport fee to your home anywhere in the U.S.

Training Testimonials

  • "Stormy has been such an amazing addition to our family. We drove to KMD to pick her up, and the second we met her we knew how special she was. Getting a puppy seemed overwhelming to us, but all of the stress that comes along with training a dog was erased. Every promise that Melisa made was completely true. She knows all of her commands, goes straight to the door when she needs out, and could not be more loving and social. After only having her for a week, it feels like she has been our dog forever. Since she is so well-trained and socialized, we are able to take her everywhere with us! People are shocked at how young she is because she is so well -behaved. Stormy has really exceeded our expectations and we could not imagine doing it any other way"

  • " Our little girl is doing great. She is a Rockstar at the Mission. She just loves people so much and is incredibly gentle and sweet. Best temperament for a therepy dog I've ever seen. No car sickness- no potty problems. She LOVES snow! You should be very proud of this girl! I've never seen a pup this age handle herself so well."
